Sunset
God's creation is so glorious and inspiring. Seeing His handiwork is soo life-giving. I felt so blessed seeing both a beautiful sunrise over the hills and sunset (above) while on the road today.

Impossible?
The moon was rising beautifully over the hills near our home tonight. Creation has a wonderful way of pointing us to our Creator.
I'm reminded tonight that the God who by His words formed the earth, moon, sun, planets, solar system and the billions of others out there, that God is more than capable to take care of little old me.
I'd say my impossibilities seem to not be so impossible when I think about how truly great He is.

Darwin
Over 200 years ago today, evolutionist Charles Darwin was born. Darwin wrote the book, "On the Origin of Species." Darwin and his evolutionary thinking have had an impact on our world, including the church. Many church-goers have adopted the thinking that somehow evolutionary thought and the Word of God can co-exist. We have re-interpreted the Scriptures to make allowance for the evolution of man. What most don't realize is the slippery slope that this creates, which can lead to the undermining of God's Word and the existence of God Himself.
Instead of the Church influencing the world, the world is influencing the Church.
On this anniversary of Darwin's birthday, I would encourage you to read the blog post below by the man who started the creation museum here in northern Kentucky, Ken Ham. I would also encourage you to take time to find out truly what the Bible says is the origin of man. Consider carefully where you may have adopted Darwinian thought, simply because it was handed to you from teachers, professors, or the like, just as it was handed to me.
And let me know your thoughts as well.

Yes, Abraham Lincoln was born on this day, but today, secular humanists and compromising and liberal clergy are more likely to be celebrating Darwin’s birthday. Charles Darwin was born on February 12, 1809. He published his book On the Origin of the Species in 1859 and 12 years later released The Descent of Man. Darwin’s ideas of biological evolution, built on his belief in geological evolution (millions of years), have permeated the world and sadly much of the church...
